Good afternoon, Investigators of Operation Essex. My name is Mustafa Said and this is Today in Niantic History.

Today is April 20th, 2014. One year ago today, a statement surfaced on the G+ account owned by the former Niantic Project researcher and stage magician Misty Hannah.

In this update, she announces a contest to see who is worthy of entering the Magic Castle.....

This is a pretty short one but you'll see why tomorrow.

Discuss and share your thoughts down below.

Keep on searching for the truth, Investigators.

Investigators:

As you may have heard, I will be performing live at the Magic Castle on Wednesday April 24 at 8PM.

The Magic Castle is the most unusual club in the world, an exclusive members only club in Los Angeles dedicated to the art of magic.

It would be my unique privilege to provide access to the club to a select few among you, the Castle is an incredible place, and it will be a night out unlike any other.

I am a mentalist, and I believe that XM has helped enhance my mental powers over the years. Share a story about how XM has shaped the way you think, or share a picture that describes how your life has changed since discovering the world of Exotic Matter. Share it publicly as well as with me and Niantic Project, and use the hashtag #ingressmagiccastle .

The seating room in the room I will be performing in is limited to 40 people, if you would like to bring a +1, please specify in your post. I will pick the best stories and images as my special guests for the evening.

Please read this document for additional details, including what to do at the Castle, dress code, fees, dining information and more: https://docs.google.com/document/d/101pgYtw5IZyZbXZVl-GIfs0gAYknXvDJW407v_QNC7Y/edit

Thomas Greanias, flint dille, Joe Philley, I'm so glad you will be able to join us that evening.

P.A.C. and Klue S., I hope you are able to come as well...

so, general question.

so, general question... we know that ADA passed the "turing test", we also have many studies showing how the turing test can actually be gamed by very complex programming and in fact you can write programs to create the allusion of AI for many (the chinese room thought experiment).  At what point are we certain that she began acting on her own and has not been following a program and orders by someone else.  Are we certain that those orders that she delivered for Jarvis and others and even the Katalena pre Zurich encounters, were not done on the orders of some programming.  NOt to call ADA a gun, but how certain are we she is not?  How can we prove, beyond doubt, that she is truly a separate entity working on her own and not some other programming? I would like to call for the evidence and proof that ADA is a complete entity. That she is not following someone else's computer orders, that she has a consciousness (or not). http://niantic.schlarp.com/_media/investigation:cha...

Essex members as you are aware essex and our member Lukas Lentz  credibility ,  were attacked by the Global Data Analysis Group. It is in our interest to show our unity as independent researchers now more than ever. Today earlier a post was made with me ( Hugo Neves ) as it's writer in order to make sure we had a fast reply out there. It is in our interest that we show our unity by signing our names to one post . The question I make is do we use the same post or a new one for this Also please today try and make posts or sign in the main Niantic one with the following hashtag #TrustLukas To show support for our colleague Lukas Lentz  https://plus.google.com/101577681173166935630/posts/XxjSGChLb5x

I am beginning to catalogue a list of Transdimensional Objects which appear to be inert artifacts, but, in fact, have actual technological capabilities when exposed to XM or present in a Nest.  Let us start with  the Shōnin Stone (which I believe to be broken at this point).  We know that it functions as something analogous to part of a circuit board or a key, depending on how you perceive it.  There is also Azmati's Dagger (or is it Alexander the Greats, I can't remember) that was used to test for simulacra. My feeling is that there are more such objects.  I am trying to catalogue them.   And as a thought experiment, what other objects must there be that have not yet been found?
