If we take what Hank Johnson (and to a lesser extent Roland Jarvis) claims to be true we know this about XM, the dead, and #13Magnus:

1) The "XM fabric" is a transdimensional substrate of concentrated XM. (Susana Moyer confirmed this) XM entities of Jarvis' type reside here. No word on whether Shapers do, too, or are an aspect of the XM itself.

2) Patterns of humans may exist here, and is described as a void, a darkness, by Roland Jarvis (side note: this is so exciting in a nerdy way because it CONFIRMS photons don't reside in the XM fabric).

3) 13Magnus may resurrect humans, but only with:
A) the right portal
B) the right amount of XM
C) the right glyph sequence

4) Roland Jarvis was killed by an assassination, but was resurrected. Witnesses report strange events and glyphs upon his head.

Were the glyphs the "starting material" required for resurrection? We know the algorithm exists, but is there a proper "XM" embalming process in addition to the resurrection code? If so, did #13Magnus interfere to save Roland Jarvis? And also, if so, did they allow the resurrection because they knew it was impossible to replicate with out the two keys? What does this mean for Carrie Campbell? Her body was saturated with XM. Do you think this is enough to elevate her to the status of XM entity? Do you think XM sensitivity is a requirement for successful resurrection?

  1. I do think XM sensitivity is a prerequisite to ascend to XM entity status. If Carrie Campbell really did die at the culmination of the #Cassandra I can think of no better timing and circumstances that would have been better for her to die under, that would transform her spirit into pure XM.

  2. Regarding point 4: I must admit I was not aware of any additional glyphs added to Jarvis's body unless you are discussing what Victor Kureze added to his body in his crazed experiment. Can you link to the witness reports?

From what I read there were no glyphs present when he was assassinated by Hubert Farlowe in the book. Reference chapter 2 of the niantic project ingress.

  3. If photons do not exist on the XM frequency /dimension , then at what point on the electromagnetic spectrum does our reality begin to retain any medium? You can't "put" matter into the xm realm. Its a different dimension. At best one can hope to distort our dimension enough to hyperthread, or influance something about humans that transends this dimension enough to "shape" their perspective.

  4. Daniel Byrom kureze attempted to draw a glyph on jarvis and died as a result. Either glyphs are this volatile or something was guarding and nurturing Jarvis's corps.

  5. B. Williams Kureze was pretty certifiable when he attempted to violate Jarvis's corpse.

Also Jarvis had been assassinated a long time before any glyphs had been added to him.

  6. Daniel Beaudoin, Carrie Campbell was playing with dark powers, something that may be a can of worms, apart from shapers as the enlightened have come to know them.

  7. There was indeed a glyph on Jarvis' head.  As Hank Johnson is said to have wiped it off upon seeing his corpse at the former Niantic Project laboratory.  B. Williams Dark Powers?  Can you expound?

  8. Daniel Beaudoin the glyphs were added by Kureze in his breakdown before his death.

  9. The dark powers refers to the plot insinuations towards dark shapers, a counter point to the shapers who use XM.

  10. Sorry, I meant to specify the glyph Hank observed. Not the Kureze experiment. Dont recall why I pluralized.
