    Concerning indeed. The big question is, was OLW just playing along (to save his skin) or was he reduced to a mere puppet?

    Perhaps the reason OLW wanted Jarvis dead is because Jarvis almost succeeded in not killing OLW, as we have been speculating, but instead controlling him, or manifesting himself in OLW's body, as ADA did with Klue.

    Perhaps now that Jarvis has returned, he successfully did this?

    Daniel Benton I was reading through some of the Niantic project's earlier #13MAGNUS  stuff, and Verity Seke mentioned that potentially it was a non working mind control attempt.

    This theory also lines up with the very subtle release of the communications between Jay Phillips and Ken Owen, where Verity Seke mentions that perhaps the age of assassinations is over, and the best way is to control something.

    I think Niantic have been subtley hinting at this for a while.

    Can I throw another theory out there about OLW.

    From a brief scan of recent topics I notice no one has mentioned the possibility that OLW is suffering from a strong case of Bi-Polar depression.

    The appearance of Jarvis may have pushed him from what has been a very manic phase he has been living in and into a very deep depression.

    1) In the "The Niantic Project Ingress" book OLW is in one seen and shows himself to be a very quiet and unsure individual when talking to Ni.

    2) “Dr Lynton-Wolfe is considered brilliant but unstable” – Heat Sink card 

    3) “Those closest to Lynton-Wolfe report his periods of lucidity have grown few and far between.” – Ultra Strike card

    4) The Psychological summary when OLW joined Hulong https://plus.google.com/+NianticProject/posts/7VbWPMx9tje

    5) The confidence and maniacal behaviour in all his recent speeches, bar this latest one. Also the fact he does not seem capable of listening to other people, he just wants control and seems to flip like a child if things don’t go his way.

    I am not a doctor but to me these are some very clear indicators to what could be a person suffering Bi-polar disorder.

    I concede that there may well be shaper influence, as it has been shown that both OLW and Jarvis have communicated with shapers (Dead Man - http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/pac/IB/09/item/DeadMan.png ), but why would the shapers want to take over OLW? And why would Jarvis? Wouldn’t that be giving the members of the Resistance even more reason to fight?

    First of all we should look for more obvious human reasons to people’s behaviour before grasping for others.

    Daniel Byrom The easiest answer to the last question (Why would the shapers want to take control of him) would be because he's Jarvis' greatest threat.  Jarvis himself said so, according to the Tycho comic previously referenced.

    That, and he's the foremost XM researcher.  If there's anyone who can bend XM to his will (and, therefore, not the will of the shapers, if you can call it that), it's OLW.

    After all this time olw was exposed to xm he probably became a "sensitive" and all jarvis had to do was to show him the right glyph sequence to ingress his mind (ADA did the same thing tu Klu) I belive olw knew that because he stopped mid-speech and ran the moment "jarvis" appeared (I still don't believe he is the real jarvis).
