So - throwing this out there to get discussion going.
So - throwing this out there to get discussion going. if there really is a G+ end coming - what should we do with the Operation Essex Community? How would we archive it? Where would we move to (Forum Boards are the ideal type of structure). Thoughts?
Indeed. I'm in a similar situation, having been brought in just yesterday. I don't see how this group is all that different from the Prometheans in a lot of ways. A little bit of an Essex primer or mission statement would be wonderful. I see really cool things posted by people that supposedly come out of Project Essex.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand from Lukas Lentz is that this is an "official" Niantic community. Edgar Allan Wright is a character in the Ingress mythos and serves an an official ncp.

ReplyDeleteSo here's the thing: This community is as Brendan McKelvy said: it's pretty official. Created by Edgar Allan Wright; our job is to be an 'intel group.' Basically, we're looking to push the investigation deeper and that is primarily by looking for new investigators. Many famous members of the Ingress Communities are here because of their knowledge. The reason for this is to mix a bit of the old with a bit of new.
The goal behind this is to, as the Prometheans are, stand together regardless of faction-but we're all about intel and storyline stuff, not so much cross faction works like the Prometheans.
Prometheans and Essex are similar but two different groups. There is, i believe, a partnership between the two. I work as a leader for the Prometheans so if there are any questions you guys can direct them to me.
